About the role#

As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while supporting the pharmacist in daily operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with pharmacy workflow under the guidance of licensed professionals.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience through high-quality service.
• Support pharmacy workflow by providing shift leadership, delegating station rotations, and resolving operational issues.
• Assist the pharmacist with all duties that do not require professional pharmacist judgment.
• Process electronic fund transactions, including credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks, following company guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, inspecting equipment, and reporting maintenance needs or accidents to store management.
• Enter patient information into the system, perform post-fill audits, and support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.
• Provide training support for pharmacy associates and assist new technicians through their training programs.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Completion of national and/or state intern registration, certification, or licensure as required by state law.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certification in immunizations or the ability to become certified.
