About the role#

This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Intern position at Kroger. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while supporting pharmacy operations and maintaining safety standards within the department.

What you'll do#

• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product questions and providing drug counseling.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system and dispense medications.
• Process third-party insurance claims and contact prescribers for necessary authorizations.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage inventory by stocking incoming orders and returning unused stock to shelves.
• Assist the department manager in meeting sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a clean department and report any safety risks, theft, fraud, or accidents to management.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to remain professional and nonconfrontational.
• Commitment to maintaining honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including older adults and individuals with special needs.
