About the role#
Kroger is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site to gain practical experience while supporting our pharmacy operations and serving our customers.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers.
- Offer recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication to patients.
- Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Handle insurance processing and contact prescribers for authorization as needed.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and manage inventory by stocking incoming orders.
- Assist customers with prescription pickups and charge purchases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively and maintain professional integrity in a pharmacy setting.
- Capacity to follow directions and seek assistance when resolving customer or business issues.
