PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, part-time Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacist in daily operations, patient care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for customers.

What you'll do#

• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products throughout the store.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of pharmaceutical products to discuss options with customers and prescribers.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide drug counseling to patients.
• Process third-party insurance information and contact insurance companies or prescribers as needed.
• Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Input prescription data, manage inventory, and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to provide drug counseling and manage customer interactions effectively.
• Capacity to follow directions, seek assistance when necessary, and resolve business or customer issues.
• Skill in managing conflict in a cooperative and nonconfrontational manner.
