About the role#
As a Pharmacy Graduate Intern, you will assist the department manager in maintaining daily production goals and ensuring all quality assurance standards are met. This role focuses on creating a safe, professional, and efficient pharmacy environment while supporting both the provider and technical teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist the department manager in achieving daily production goals and monitoring quality assurance standards.
- Accurately and efficiently enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Count and prepare pharmaceutical products following company best practices.
- Fulfill prescriptions in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
- Maintain organized records of prescription volume and perform necessary production audits.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace while adhering to shrink guidelines.
- Promote a positive team environment by interacting professionally with coworkers and answering questions regarding roles and responsibilities.
- Support safety programs by identifying hazards, inspecting equipment, and reporting any accidents or safety risks to management.
What you'll need#
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- NABPLEx eligible within 90 days of hire.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
