About the role#
This is a paid, on-site Pharmacy Intern position based in Denver, Colorado. The role involves supporting pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication and process third-party insurance information.
- Provide immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by stocking incoming orders and checking inventory.
- Communicate with prescribers and insurance companies as needed.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
