About the role#
The Pharmacy/Pharmacist-Grad Intern role is a full-time, paid summer 2026 internship based in Parker, Colorado. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting both production goals and patient care operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the department manager in meeting daily production goals and monitoring quality assurance standards.
- Prepare and count prescriptions following company best practices and staging procedures.
- Complete professional duties required for prescription fulfillment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Enter patient information into the system accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain records on prescription volume and perform necessary production audits.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety programs and identifying potential hazards.
- Support team members by answering questions regarding roles and responsibilities to foster a welcoming environment.
- Adhere to shrink guidelines and report any safety risks, theft, or fraud to management.
What you'll need#
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- NABPLEx eligible within 90 days of hire.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and perform basic math, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Previous pharmacy experience or proficiency in a second language is considered a plus.
