PHARMACY INTERN-CINCINNATI

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy department by providing exceptional service and maintaining a safe, clean environment. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to assist customers, manage prescription data, and support daily pharmacy operations while gaining practical experience in a retail setting.

What you'll do#

• Promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system and dispense correct medications.
• Facilitate communication with prescribers for authorizations and contact insurance companies as needed.
• Process third-party insurance information and handle customer transactions.
• Assist with inventory management, including checking incoming orders, stocking shelves, and returning unused medication to stock.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintain department cleanliness and report any safety risks, accidents, or incidents to management.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-volume environment and manage conflict professionally.
• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of customer and business information.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
