About the role#
As a Pharmacist Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role involves supporting the pharmacy team, ensuring high standards of service, and assisting the pharmacist with daily operations. You will work on-site in a part-time capacity, contributing to our health and wellness initiatives while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide an outstanding customer experience and follow the Customer 1st strategy.
- Assist the pharmacist with tasks that do not require professional judgment.
- Perform essential functions of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
- Lead by example to ensure department standards are met.
- Support pharmacy workflow and provide day-to-day training for associates.
- Enter patient information accurately and perform post-fill audits.
- Assist with Medication Therapy Management services.
- Act as a safety subject matter expert, reinforcing sanitation and safety regulations.
- Handle electronic fund transactions and follow company cash handling guidelines.
- Serve as an alternative representative for store-wide meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Minimum age of 18.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to be certified in immunizations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and restricted sale items.
