About the role#
The Kroger Finance Intern-Supply Chain program is a 12-week, full-time immersive experience. This role offers hands-on learning and exposure to senior leadership within our supply chain and operational teams. You will work on projects that contribute to our core operations, including procurement, transportation, and logistics.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple supply chain projects while adhering to project timelines.
- Conduct supply chain analysis and assist in the creation of process improvement projects.
- Partner with teams to elicit, analyze, document, and deliver supply chain solutions.
- Communicate project status and potential risks or issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist with project risk assessment, develop mitigation plans, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Document supply chain processes and best practices.
- Actively seek and recommend new project opportunities.
- Complete a cumulative project summarizing your internship accomplishments and present it to the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
- Open to all majors, with preference for Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Transportation, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or Operations Management.
- Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
- High motivation, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality and demonstrate accountability for decisions.
