Fall 2026 Financial Audit Intern

About the role#

The Fall 2026 Financial Audit Internship is a 16-week immersive program running from August 17 to December 4. Interns work as part of the audit team, gaining hands-on experience by assisting with audit programs, reviewing organizational activities, and supporting internal control testing under the supervision of an auditor-in-charge.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the completion of audit programs and program sections.
• Conduct or support reviews of assigned organizational or functional activities.
• Gain an understanding of company policies and major control or reporting objectives for areas under review.
• Perform tests of financial statement balances and prepare workpapers to support audit conclusions.
• Identify and report exceptions to policy.
• Verify findings through discussions with staff ranging from clerks to assistant controllers.
• Complete a cumulative project summarizing internship accomplishments and present it to the Division Executive Team or appropriate managers.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university, with a preference for accounting majors.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
• High level of motivation, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future.
