About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time internship for Summer 2027 running from May 17 to August 6. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. The role requires you to model core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential daily functions, including pre-remodel checklists and as-built fixture or refrigeration drawings.
- Support the contractor bid process and participate in weekly project meetings.
- Manage equipment orders, including preparation, tracking, and delivery scheduling based on construction timelines.
- Oversee store fixture installation and handle project closeout tasks like punch lists and final invoicing.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure compliance with specifications and quality control standards.
- Review architecture plans, change orders, and refrigeration or electrical mechanical plans.
- Complete estimates and manage minor capital projects independently.
- Participate in team meetings and huddles.
- Develop a cumulative project summarizing your internship accomplishments to present to the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in groups or on your own.
- High motivation and a desire to take initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to various organizational levels.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to analyze information and apply it to business needs.
- A commitment to customer service.

- This position is paid and requires full-time availability.
