About the role#
KPMG Canada is hiring undergraduate students for a 12-16 month co-op or internship term starting in Summer 2027. This position is based within the US Corporate Tax practice, where you will assist multinational clients with tax compliance and operational needs. This opportunity is open exclusively to students currently enrolled in the McMaster University BCom with Internship Program.
What you'll do#
- Join a tax engagement team to support client compliance needs.
- Prepare US corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients.
- Draft US tax provisions for both public and privately held companies.
- Gain exposure to tax planning and advisory engagements.
- Prepare Canadian and US personal income tax returns.
- Conduct research related to tax and payroll matters.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the McMaster University BCom with Internship Program.
- Status as an undergraduate student in business, commerce, accounting, or finance.
- Commitment to pursuing a Canadian CPA designation, including completion of required prerequisite courses.
- A strong academic record and a proven ability to achieve professional goals.
- Curiosity regarding emerging practices and technologies.
- Ability to build productive internal and external networks.
- Capability to deliver high-quality results and provide insightful analysis.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
