About the role#
Phillips Medisize is seeking Environmental Health & Safety interns for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, on-site internship program. You will work alongside our employees to solve real problems and contribute to the manufacturing of medical devices and technologies. Interns receive on-the-job training and support from a designated mentor.
What you'll do#
- Participate in on-site safety committee activities, including exposure to lockout-tagout and machine guarding.
- Maintain and update injury prevention plans and workplace violence prevention plans.
- Assist with environmental functions for your assigned facility.
- Support safety initiatives such as incident investigations, safety audits, and procedure writing.
- Partner with onsite management to ensure program ownership and accountability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Risk Control, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Eligibility for full-time employment on or before Summer 2029.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
