About the role#
KBX Logistics is seeking a Business Analytics & Insights Intern to help solve real-world business challenges through data. You will work alongside experienced analytics professionals to transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making across our transportation and logistics operations. This role offers exposure to reporting, data visualization, and process improvement projects that help our teams operate more effectively.
What you'll do#
- Partner with business and analytics teams to analyze operational data, identify trends, and develop insights.
- Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI.
- Support strategic projects by conducting data analysis, market research, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, analytics, and business leaders, to solve problems and improve processes.
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools, to enhance reporting and uncover insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to show how data influences operational, financial, and strategic decisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a business degree program such as Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or related fields.
- Eligible for full-time employment no later than Summer 2028.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Experience with data analytics concepts like data transformation, exploratory analysis, and insights.
- Familiarity with modern analytics and visualization tools such as Microsoft Fabric Suite, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Knowledge of data querying and programming fundamentals, specifically SQL and Python.
- Experience using generative or agentic AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot.
- Strong analytical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
