About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Klein Tools, you will support our new product development team. This role provides hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside our staff to design prototypes, test products, and refine manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Create and post-process 3D prints for team review.
- Design and build prototypes and test fixtures.
- Modify basic models and prints.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to submit products for lab testing.
- Conduct product testing in the lab and report your findings.
- Analyze test data to provide actionable improvement recommendations.
- Partner with the manufacturing team to suggest process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate Engineering program, specifically Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and project follow-up.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and interact with all levels of the organization.
Location & details#
- Location: Mansfield, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- The role is paid and uses a rolling term.
