About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring a Structural Intern for our office in Richardson, Texas. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position. You will work on structural projects including bridges and retaining walls while gaining experience in the engineering services industry.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality check deliverables.
- Contribute to pre-construction efforts for public and private structural projects.
- Prepare structural plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Solve complex problems and work with team members across different disciplines.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations alongside company practices.
- Gain proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Your major is in Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
