About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an engineering student for a Structural Intern position at our Frisco, Texas office. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
You will work on pre-construction for structural projects, including bridges and retaining walls. Your daily work involves using technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on project deliverables. You will prepare structural plans, specifications, and estimates for clients while assisting project managers with complex problem-solving. You will also learn relevant federal, state, and local regulations alongside firm standards. You will gain experience in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an ABET-accredited program. Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, as well as Engineering Technology.

This position is located in Frisco, Texas. It is an on-site, paid, full-time internship. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
