Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join the Irving, Texas office for a full-time, on-site internship. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering design and project management while working on diverse projects.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for projects of varying size and scope.
- Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on deliverables.
- Solve complex problems and assist project managers in collaborating across disciplines.
- Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and client standards.
- Gain proficiency in discipline-specific software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Academic background in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
