About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring engineering students for our Tyler, Texas office. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship available during the summer, fall, or winter terms of 2027. We do not provide sponsorship for this position.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check project deliverables.
- Work on pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis.
- Solve complex problems and assist project managers with daily tasks.
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines to meet client goals.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations along with company procedures.
- Gain experience with discipline-specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Students pursuing an Engineering Technology degree are also encouraged to apply.
