About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our Tampa, Florida office. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers students the chance to gain practical experience in engineering services. We hire on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
You will work on pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis for various projects. Your daily tasks include using technical software to produce and quality check deliverables. You will assist project managers, solve technical problems, and collaborate with team members across different disciplines. You will also learn federal, state, and local regulations along with our internal company standards. You will gain hands-on experience with discipline-specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
You must be currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an ABET accredited program. We accept students from the following majors: Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, as well as Engineering Technology.

This position is based in Tampa, Florida. It is an on-site, paid internship. We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
