About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring engineering students for an on-site internship in Wilmington, North Carolina. You will work with our team on pre-construction civil engineering projects and support the delivery of client goals.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, create, and quality check project deliverables.
- Assist with design, planning, and permitting for civil engineering projects.
- Solve technical problems and support project managers.
- Coordinate with different disciplines to help complete projects.
- Learn federal, state, and local engineering regulations.
- Gain experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program.
- Progress toward an ABET accredited engineering degree.
- Major in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
