About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Site Establishment team and report to the Senior Project Manager. Your work supports the coordination of new construction projects, including a warehouse, an administration building, and a fabrication facility. You will act as a primary point of contact for team members, field trades, and design engineers to ensure project needs are met.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain comprehensive work packages with construction and engineering teams.
- Write detailed work plans and coordinate the delivery of project documents.
- Review designs for compliance with contract requirements and engineering principles.
- Identify and report design deviations before construction begins.
- Serve as a liaison between field trades and design engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor project expenditures to stay within budget limits.
- Provide status and progress reports to management and the project team.
- Coordinate technical developments and scheduling activities.
- Ensure all construction activities follow established policies and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program, specifically Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a focus on report writing.
- Ability to work in-person at a site office or trailer.
- A valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Professionalism and the ability to work effectively within a large team.
- Capacity to meet deadlines and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Experience with SharePoint, Aconex, Bluebeam, Excel, or blueprint reading is an asset.
