About the role#
This Field Engineer Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in construction management within the South Central District. You will support heavy civil and infrastructure projects across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. This is a full-time, paid role for Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform field engineering, operation planning, cost control, and project scheduling.
- Handle engineering tasks using standard techniques and resolve minor technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of job progress, costs, and material usage.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine specific material requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage the handling and delivery of materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
- Physical ability to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- A commitment to safety and ensuring a secure work environment for everyone.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site.
- Locations include Westlake, Texas, as well as sites across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
- The term for this position is Winter 2027.
