About the role#
This internship focuses on Regional Water projects. You will work alongside engineers and technicians to gain practical experience in the civil engineering industry. You will participate in a variety of project phases, including both in-office design work and field investigations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in on-the-job training for various engineering activities.
- Assist with basic drafting and the development of project plans.
- Learn to operate GPS and conventional survey equipment.
- Assist with construction observation processes and field tests.
- Compile project data and perform basic engineering design calculations.
- Travel to project sites or other company locations as needed, which accounts for approximately 10 percent of the role.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Technical School or a Bachelor's degree program in Civil, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least one year of a Bachelor's degree program.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to pass required safety classes.
- A valid driving record for motor vehicle operation.
