Buying Intern, Fall 2026

About the role#

KHAITE is seeking a Buying Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Buying & Merchandising and is based at our New York City headquarters. This is an unpaid internship intended for college credit.

What you'll do#

• Support the Buying team with daily administrative tasks, including maintaining assortment tools, tracking purchase orders, and reporting.
• Assist in analyzing weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through to identify business opportunities.
• Prepare product recaps, assortment presentations, and meeting materials for internal reviews.
• Manage sample organization, product cataloging, and showroom preparation during market appointments and seasonal buys.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and Retail.
• Conduct competitive market research and trend analysis to provide insights on product assortment, pricing, and the luxury retail landscape.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Fashion Buying & Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with retail math is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior internship experience in fashion merchandising is preferred.
