About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to a 3-month project focused on RF signal conditioning circuit design for future products. You will work with the Keysight Labs team, which develops high-speed amplifiers and mixed-signal integrated circuits. This role offers exposure to the tools, technical insights, and design tradeoffs required for successful integrated circuit development within a collaborative engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and simulate RF blocks at the circuit or block level.
- Perform various types of simulations, including circuit simulation, electromagnetic simulation, or high-level custom software simulation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong skills in transistor-level design of mixed signal CMOS or BiCMOS circuits.
- Familiarity with schematic entry, layout, and simulation tool flows, preferably Cadence.
- Experience with software scripting tools to support design, such as Bash, Python, PERL, Awk, or SKILL.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, RF pro, EM pro, or CST.
- Experience with high-speed designs exceeding 1 GHz.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as of September 2027.
Location & details#
- Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment type: Full-time.
