About the role#
Van Houtte Coffee Services is growing. To support this growth, we need to provide our leaders, managers, and supervisors with the right tools to manage their teams effectively. This internship focuses on addressing a gap in performance and discipline management by creating training programs that help our leaders navigate these responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop training programs centered on discipline and performance management for Sales and Operations teams.
- Create practical learning materials that help leaders handle performance issues, conduct coaching conversations, and apply progressive discipline.
- Adapt training content for both office-based and front-line employees.
- Partner with HR stakeholders to ensure all materials align with company policies, legal requirements, and leadership expectations.
- Complete a project from start to finish and present your findings to your team, department, and senior leadership.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including networking events and lunch-and-learns with company executives.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Adult Learning, or Law.
- Coursework relevant to the project.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Ability to work from our Montreal office.
- Previous experience in a retail or service job is an asset, as it provides a practical understanding of the working climate.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, QC.
- Term: January 4 to April 30, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
