About the role#
Kensho is the AI innovation hub for S&P Global. We build solutions focused on business and financial generative AI applications, agents, and data extraction. This internship offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on a platform that powers LLM applications and fundamental AI tools. You will join a team that values open communication and engineering best practices, providing a collaborative environment to solve complex data challenges.
What you'll do#
- Solve problems in agentic design and LLM orchestration, such as memory management, data access patterns, and context engineering.
- Lead a project to prototype, build, and test ML models and pipeline components.
- Gain experience across the full ML model lifecycle, from initial problem framing to deployment support.
- Work within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Receive active mentorship and continuous feedback throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Relevant classwork or previous internship experience in Machine Learning.
- Experience designing and iterating on agentic systems, including evaluating agent performance and understanding user interactions.
- Proficiency with advanced machine learning methods and statistical intuition.
- Experience modeling real data.
- Expertise in Python and Python-based ML frameworks.
- Demonstrated habits in clean coding, documentation, and communication.
- Ability to explain complex technical methods and results to non-technical audiences.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site at our Cambridge, Massachusetts or New York, New York offices.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
