About the role#
KBR is seeking a Software Intern to develop applications from start to finish to solve customer problems. This role involves performing research and analysis to manage project cycles, estimating tasks, and ensuring schedules are met. You will work on-site at the Johnson Space Center facility to deliver functional software solutions, maintain databases, and provide ongoing support to users.
What you'll do#
- Develop software applications and create code that meets system standards.
- Provide SharePoint curator services, including site support and migration.
- Design and develop functional web pages while maintaining existing databases.
- Build and deploy macros and templates using VBA.
- Provide front-end graphical user interface design using reactive frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VBA macros, Microsoft Power Platform tools, and SharePoint access.
- Conduct software testing, quality assurance, and documentation of software functionality.
- Gather requirements directly from customers and present technical design options.
- Report project status to management through required reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of or completion of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or Cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office application development, specifically advanced VBA for Excel.
- Experience with front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with C# or Python or other high-level object-oriented languages.
- Experience with SharePoint on-premises or online and the Microsoft Power Environment (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI).
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels and coordinate with team members and customers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer information.
