About the role#
Kaizen Analytix is looking for an AI Engineer Intern to support our AI/ML team. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers on real project tasks. This role focuses on building practical skills in generative AI, large language models, and the data systems that support them.
What you'll do#
- Assist in building, testing, and fine-tuning components of generative AI and LLM-based applications.
- Support experimentation with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and basic model fine-tuning.
- Write clean, documented Python code for well-scoped tasks such as data preprocessing or evaluation utilities.
- Help build and maintain data pipelines used for training and evaluating models.
- Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and design discussions to understand how AI systems are architected.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with Python and at least one ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- A basic understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including neural networks, model training, and evaluation metrics.
- Familiarity with or a strong interest in generative AI and LLM concepts.
- Knowledge of basic software engineering practices, including version control with Git and writing readable code.
