About the role#
As a Campus AI Research Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with research, trading, and engineering teams to build advanced machine learning systems. You will work on high-impact projects ranging from optimizing training pipelines on high-performance computing clusters to developing low-latency inference systems. This role focuses on pushing AI research from concept to production within the financial services industry.
What you'll do#
- Apply state-of-the-art techniques to complex and challenging domains.
- Work closely with researchers and quants to build flexible and reusable frameworks for financial AI/ML.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production systems where latency is critical.
- Develop across a mix of programming languages including C, C++, Python, and CUDA.
- Build large-scale AI/ML systems that are observable, performant, and flexible.
- Improve productivity by reducing iteration cycle times for research.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Proficiency in PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Expertise in GPU or accelerator programming, such as CUDA, Triton, SYCL, or ROCm.
- Experience building AI/ML systems at scale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.

- Compensation: Paid position with an estimated annualized base salary of $250,000 to $300,000.
