About the role#
Johnsonville is hiring a Mechanical/Project Engineering Co-op for an 8-month term starting in either Winter or Summer 2027. You will join the engineering team at our Sheboygan Falls facility to work on projects related to safety, quality, and production efficiency. This role requires on-site work and occasional travel to other company facilities.
What you'll do#
- Lead and contribute to projects that improve safety, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop project vision, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist automation and design engineers with new project implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move ideas from concept to final implementation.
- Apply creative problem-solving techniques to manufacturing challenges.
- Maintain accurate and complete project records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Junior or senior academic status is preferred.
- Minimum 2.70 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in your core concentration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks is a plus.
- Prior work experience is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
