About the role#
The OPEx Communications Co-Op supports the tactical execution of the Gurabo Site Communications Strategy. You will work alongside the Communications Team and cross-functional stakeholders to manage internal channels, newsletters, and site-wide engagement. This role provides dedicated capacity to help the team maintain focus on strategy, governance, and organizational change. You will gain practical experience in project coordination, digital tools, analytics, and stakeholder management.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate communication requests, content calendars, and internal newsletters.
- Support Town Halls and various employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage communication metrics, digital repositories, and administrative workflows.
- Assist with audiovisual activities and the development of communication materials.
- Ensure consistent and timely information flow across the Gurabo site.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your freshman year at an accredited university.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Standing in your third, fourth, or fifth year of undergraduate studies.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Experience creating presentations, newsletters, or digital content.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Knowledge of graphic design or video editing tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Cap Cut is preferred.

- Location: Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: January to December 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
