About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work with the US Immunology Dermatology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team. You will report to a Senior MSL and collaborate with Medical Directors, Scientific Communications, and Learning Excellence teams. The role provides insight into how field medical teams translate clinical data into scientific exchange and shape medical strategy. You will own a defined project from start to finish and present your outcomes to leadership at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support the MSL team by building and updating internal scientific summaries, disease-state reference guides, and data compendia.
- Organize pre-congress planning and synthesize post-congress scientific highlights and competitive landscape summaries.
- Aggregate and analyze field medical insights to identify trends and knowledge gaps.
- Conduct structured literature searches using PubMed and summarize newly published data.
- Assist with opinion leader mapping and engagement analytics using Excel and data visualization tools.
- Develop, test, and document Microsoft Copilot and GenAI prompts for MSL workflows.
- Contribute to the creation of MSL onboarding and training materials.
- Participate in team meetings, regional calls, and Horsham-based intern programming.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited graduate program (PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, or other science-related master’s) or an exceptional undergraduate student in a science-related field with two to three years of coursework completed.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Demonstrated interest in Medical Affairs or an MSL career path.
- Ability to critically evaluate and summarize clinical and scientific literature.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience or coursework in immunology, dermatology, or inflammatory diseases is preferred.
- Familiarity with PubMed, data visualization tools, generative AI, SharePoint, and Teams is a plus.
- Experience in academic or industry clinical research.
