Mechanical Engineering Intern

About the role#

Johnson Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, paid position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting projects and learning operational processes within a manufacturing environment. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to organizational goals while developing professional relationships across departments.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with mentors and team members to understand business operations and processes.
• Contribute to large-scale projects.
• Build professional relationships across various departments.
• Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Participate in and select 2-3 hands-on projects related to engineering, quality, or operations leadership.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 semesters remaining in your degree program.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to learning.
