About the role#
As a Finance Intern, you will rotate through different areas of our Finance team, including FP&A, Accounting, and Project Accounting. This role provides a well-rounded view of how finance supports our business. You will spend your time shadowing professionals, learning new skills, and contributing to real projects. This is an on-site position based in our Columbia, Maryland office.
What you'll do#
- Rotate across Finance teams to explore various career paths.
- Shadow professionals to understand the reasoning behind our work.
- Assist with data entry, update reports, and participate in team meetings.
- Learn to use Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, and CRM systems.
- Support financial reporting and forecasting processes.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
- Contribute to project backlog updates, project setups, and clearing account research.
- Review project forecasts and month-end revenue.
- Provide general support for field operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Finance, Accounting, Business, or related degree program.
- A curious, motivated mindset with a strong desire to learn.
- Comfort using Excel and an interest in learning new technical tools.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
