About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our team in Concord, California. This is a full-time, paid position that offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering and risk analysis. You will work directly with our engineers to support project development and learn our internal operating procedures.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine and moderately complex technical tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers to support Probabilistic Risk Analysis development.
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to complete specific project assignments.
- Adjust and correlate data while identifying discrepancies in results.
- Follow detailed steps and processes under close supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering fields.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills as a self-starter.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- An interest in advancing the science of safety and resilience.
