About the role#
The Marketing Events Intern provides administrative, logistical, and project support to the Events Managers. You will help plan and execute firm-hosted client events, business development programs, receptions, seminars, and webinars. This role offers practical experience in professional services event planning while you work alongside attorneys and business professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event research, vendor coordination, and logistics for both in-person and virtual programs.
- Prepare event materials such as invitations, nametags, handouts, and promotional items.
- Manage attendee lists, track RSVPs, and compile post-event reports.
- Maintain department event calendars and electronic records.
- Support the team with data entry, expense processing, and the preparation of presentations or spreadsheets.
- Provide on-site support for events as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current college student or a recent graduate within two years of graduation.
- Coursework in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Hospitality, or Event Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, or event management software is a plus.
