About the role#
The CNB Woodlands team is hiring a Silviculture Assistant for the Summer 2027 term. This position offers students hands-on experience in forestry while working with professionals across Central New Brunswick.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the implementation of silviculture treatments like planting, plantation cleaning, and vegetation management.
- Ensure contractors and operators follow safety and quality standards.
- Assist with operational planning and reporting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Forestry, Forest Technology, or related post-secondary program.
- Ability to work outdoors in various types of terrain and weather.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license or the ability to obtain one before starting.
