About the role#
This position offers hands-on industry experience for students interested in electrical and instrumentation trades. You will work within our Construction and Equipment division, supporting day-to-day activities alongside experienced professionals. The role focuses on real-world projects, coaching, and mentorship to help you build your professional network. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with troubleshooting and programming for distributed controls (DCS) and programmable controls (PLC).
- Handle the maintenance and installation of control equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and process improvement initiatives.
- Work alongside qualified tradespeople to gain practical experience in a safety-focused environment.
- Engage with senior leaders for professional coaching and development.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Current enrollment in a 3-year Electrical, Controls and Technology program.
- Good academic standing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
