About the role#
J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking an Application Support Analyst Student to join the IT team for the Winter 2027 term. This position involves maintaining the availability and reliability of business application services. You will work on projects and changes that support various lines of business while gaining practical experience through job shadowing and mentor relationships.
What you'll do#
- Ensure the ongoing availability and reliability of business application services.
- Contribute to projects and system changes across multiple business lines.
- Participate in application testing to ensure quality and functionality.
- Engage in job shadowing and build professional relationships with mentors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Practical experience with application support and testing.
- A natural curiosity, a drive for excellence, and a deep interest in technology.
- Ability to meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
- The term for this position is Winter 2027.
