About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship for students interested in engineering systems, databases, and process improvement. You will work with the IT engineering applications team in Irvine to support system upgrades and modernization initiatives. The role involves documenting processes, managing system inventories, and coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
What you'll do#
- Support the engineering applications team with requirements gathering, testing, and project coordination.
- Document current processes, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Create and update troubleshooting guides, support runbooks, and user-facing documentation.
- Assist with PLM and CAD-related tasks, including user access reviews and migration readiness.
- Help validate migrated or upgraded systems through test scripts and issue tracking.
- Analyze recurring support issues to recommend improvements or automation.
- Coordinate meetings and testing activities between IT, engineering, and external vendors.
- Compile project findings and present outcomes to stakeholders at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior year standing in Computer Science or a related field.
- Interest in engineering systems, databases, and application support.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.

- Location: Irvine, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $28.00 to $33.00.
