About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the IT engineering applications team in Irvine. You will assist with application modernization, system upgrades, and various technology initiatives. The role involves working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and IT teams to improve processes and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Gather and document requirements from engineering and business users.
- Create and update troubleshooting guides, support runbooks, process maps, and user-facing documentation.
- Assist with engineering systems projects, including testing, data validation, and deployment-readiness activities.
- Support PLM and CAD-related documentation, user access reviews, and application validation.
- Analyze recurring support issues to recommend improvements in process, documentation, or automation.
- Coordinate meetings and testing activities across internal teams and external vendors.
- Compile project findings and present outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Transition knowledge and outstanding action items to team members at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Analytics.
- Junior or Senior year standing is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
- Interest in engineering systems, databases, application support, and process improvement.

- Location: Irvine, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour.
