About the role#
This internship is designed for students interested in learning the foundations of college campus ministry. You will work with the campus ministry team at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, focusing on spiritual leadership development, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific standing requirements based on your institution type.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Support the team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
- Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
- Promote the mission on campus to build witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
- Proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel while helping students grow in their love for diverse cultures and ethnicities.
- Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students and engage in training provided by your staff ministry director.
- Serve as an ambassador for the ministry to individual partners and churches.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm the InterVarsity Statement of Agreement.
- A developing passion for evangelism.
- Leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, professionalism, and relational maturity.
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate cross-cultural competence.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Philosophy.
