Student Intern - Millikin University (Undergraduate Ministry)

About the role#

This internship is designed for students to learn the foundations of college campus ministry at Millikin University. Interns will develop their leadership skills, deepen their spiritual understanding, and gain practical experience in ministry. This role requires participants to be currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific standing requirements based on the institution type.

What you'll do#

• Participate in the campus ministry team to help cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to the team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students how to love, study, and apply Scripture to their daily lives.
• Promote the mission on campus to advance witnessing communities that are bolder, broader, and more ethnically diverse.
• Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches through prayer, discussion of ministry efforts, and sharing accomplishments.
• Engage with supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers or directors.

What you'll need#

• Be a follower of Jesus Christ and annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• A developing passion for evangelism.
• Strong leadership qualities including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, and professionalism.
• Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate cross-cultural competence.
• Eagerness to learn and develop relational maturity.

• Compensation: This is a paid position funded through personal fundraising. Compensation varies based on the ability to secure a donor team to cover the salary range of $31,320.00 to $41,772.00 per year.
