About the role#
This internship focuses on learning the fundamentals of college campus ministry at Fresno City College. It is designed for students currently enrolled in college who wish to develop leadership skills, grow in biblical knowledge, and mature as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Interns will work to advance the mission of InterVarsity while participating in spiritual growth and ministry training.
What you'll do#
- Participate and engage fully with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
- Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives.
- Promote the mission on campus by seeking opportunities to demonstrate the Gospel and assisting students in developing strategic thinking regarding campus witness.
- Engage positively with the supervision and training provided by staff ministry trainers and directors.
- Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to individual ministry partners and churches through prayer and discussion of ministry efforts.
What you'll need#
- You are a follower of Jesus Christ and can annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
- You have a developing passion for evangelism.
- You demonstrate leadership qualities, including initiative, self-awareness, cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
- You possess an eagerness to learn and a high degree of relational maturity.
- This role is open to students currently enrolled in a four-year or community college, with specific standing requirements based on the institution type.
