About the role#
This Micro-Internship is a partnership with the MIT Micro-Intern program. You will join the Data Platforms Health team to work on products like the InterSystems FHIR server and InterSystems IRIS for Health. The team builds Angular applications and public APIs that help users manage healthcare data. You will work alongside developers and UX designers in our Boston headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Learn about FHIR technologies.
- Build technical solutions that prioritize long-term reliability and scalability.
- Follow architectural and design standards for both UX and back-end systems.
- Participate in development workflows including code reviews and automated testing.
- Collaborate with a small team of developers and UX designers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled as a student at MIT.
- You are pursuing a degree in a technical field such as computer engineering or computer science.
- Experience with Angular or other web frameworks.
- Experience with Python, Java, or a similar programming language.
- Experience developing secure REST APIs.
- You are self-driven and motivated to learn new tools, especially in the cloud.
