Fall 2026 Career Development Intern

About the role#

The Career Development Intern supports the Economic Empowerment Department by helping refugee and immigrant clients move beyond entry-level roles into skilled career pathways. This role reports to the Career Development Supervisor and focuses on providing career counseling, facilitating enrollment in certification programs, and assisting with advanced job placement. This is an unpaid, hybrid internship opportunity.

What you'll do#

• Assist clients in developing personalized career pathways and advancement goals through individual and group sessions.
• Work one-on-one with clients to create and revise resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
• Support clients with the enrollment process for post-secondary training and certification programs.
• Prepare clients for job interviews and accompany them to interviews and employment orientations.
• Conduct research on local industries, employers, and workforce trends in Atlanta.
• Provide general administrative support and maintain accurate records of program activities.

What you'll need#

• A strong interest in working with international clients and a demonstrated ability to work with respect for cross-cultural differences.
• Proficiency in resume writing, LinkedIn, and general employment-related activities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and internet research.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to an insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Location & details#

• Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
• Term: Fall 2026, beginning the week of September 8, 2026.
• Commitment: 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive months.
• Modality: Hybrid.
