About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Thomaston, Georgia. You will join our team for the Summer 2027 term, with an anticipated start in May 2027. We are looking for students who want to work on-site, get their hands dirty, and learn how a modern sawmill operates.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Work alongside experienced maintenance and operations professionals to solve real-world challenges.
- Build technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills through exposure to sawmill operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, supply chain management, or forestry.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Clear communication skills and an interest in collaborating with team members across different departments.
- An interest in hands-on work within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Compensation: Paid internship with salaries starting from $3,700 per month, plus a temporary living allowance for those moving to the area.
